What is Newham Caritas?
Newham Caritas is the shared charitable outreach of the Catholic parishes of the Newham deanery. Rooted in the Gospel call to love our neighbour, we bring together volunteers from across every parish to support anyone in our community facing hardship — with food, warmth, advice, and a listening ear.
"Caritas" means love in action. Whatever your background or faith, if you need help, you are welcome here. And if you would like to give your time to help others, there is a place for you among our volunteers.

How to volunteer
Volunteers keep Newham Caritas running. If you would like to help — whether at a food bank, offering advice, visiting the sick, or simply lending a hand — request to join through the volunteer portal. Fr. Tony will approve your account, and you'll be able to see announcements, events, and the WhatsApp groups for your parish.
